Are there any import fees or VAT that I need to pay extra?
There are no import fees and VAT is already included in the price. We are VAT registered, and if you are a business, we can provide a VAT invoice to make your paperwork easier.
Why is there a cancellation fee?
We use Stripe for payment transactions, and each transaction has fees. If a customer changes their mind, we never get back the fee paid for the transaction even if we refund the order. This would be a loss for our business.
While larger businesses can often absorb these costs or have lower fees, we have to cover these costs by charging a cancellation fee. This is a standard procedure for many small online shops.
Why do you offer Japanese Pokémon boxes with shrink wrap and some without?
In Japan, it's normal for booster boxes to be sold both with and without shrink wrap, even between businesses. Not all stores keep shrink wrap on, and it's not necessarily about preventing reselling like some English shops do. It's simply how many Japanese stores operate.
At MaxOnCards, we offer both types. Whether a box is shrink-wrapped or not, we carefully check every product to make sure it is factory sealed, authentic, and untampered. Our goal is to offer the best price per pack without compromising on trust.
Why do you mostly sell Japanese products?
English Pokémon products are very hard to source at fair prices right now, especially for small businesses. That's why we focus on Japanese sets, which we can reliably obtain and pass on to you at good value.
We are planning to expand our products and add more Korean and Chinese Pokémon products in the near future. If prices for English products improve as supply increases, we will update our prices accordingly and offer those too.
Do you have a physical shop?
Not at the moment. We are an online-only shop to keep costs down and offer better prices. However, we plan to attend shows and may run limited-time pop-up shops in the future.
How did you build your website? Did you use Shopify or Wix?
No, this website was built completely from scratch. This gives us more control, independence, and flexibility while keeping costs down. We plan to add more features to improve your experience.

What does "7 day delivery" mean?
If an item is marked "7 day delivery", it means we don't currently have it in stock but can get it from Japan and dispatch it within 5 to 9 business days.
We'd rather give you the choice to wait than mark it as out of stock. We're working on expanding our inventory so more products are available for next-day dispatch.
